Fence Cleaning
in Washington County, PA
Remove Algae, Mildew,
and Mold From Your Washington County Fence
Algae, mildew, and mold settle into the fences around Washington County, and the hot, humid summers here keep feeding the growth all season. At Pro Kleen Industries, we soft wash vinyl fences and pressure wash wood fences with a cleaning solution matched to the material. We match the cleaning method to the fence material to reduce the risk of stripping vinyl or gouging wood. Call us at (724) 344-2534, and we’ll take care of it.
The Fence
Types We Clean
The fence in front of us decides how we clean it, so we start by matching the method to the material.
Vinyl Fences
Most fences around here are vinyl now, and vinyl gets a soft wash, the same low-pressure method we use on a house. There’s no high pressure at any point, so the vinyl’s surface isn’t stripped or dulled.
Wood Privacy Fences
Wood gets more pressure than vinyl, along with a solution that lifts the algae out of the grain. It’s a different job from vinyl, and we treat it that way.
Split-Rail and Farm Fencing
Split-rail and horse-farm fencing is common out in the county, and a lot of it runs across uneven ground. We clean it by what it’s made of: vinyl gets the soft wash, wood gets pressure and solution.
Water and Hose for Fence Lines Far
From the House
Some fence lines run across fields and horse farms, hundreds of yards from the house, with no spigot anywhere close. That’s where we’re built to reach. No water on site? No problem. Our trucks carry their own water, we can tow in a water buffalo, and we run hundreds of feet of hose, so properties on wells and springs, long driveways, and fences out in the fields around Washington County still get cleaned. On uneven ground, we plan the route first, whether that means truck access, extra hose, or bringing the towable tank out to the far end.
Why Homeowners Choose Us
for Fence Cleaning
Here’s what sets our fence cleaning apart.
The Right Method for Your Fence
Vinyl and wood don’t clean the same way, and we don’t treat them the same. Vinyl is soft washed so the surface stays intact, and wood gets the pressure it can handle. We match the cleaning method to the fence material to reduce the risk of stripping vinyl or gouging wood.
A Crew That Shows Up Looking the Part
Your technician arrives in a branded polo with a name on it and clean work pants, knocks, and gives you a name at the door. Our trucks park on the street instead of your driveway, and we cone off the work area before we start. It’s a professional job from the moment we pull up.
Two Million in Coverage on the Crew at Your Fence Line
Two of our technicians work your fence line, often far out across a field. We carry $2 million in general liability, $2 million in commercial auto, and $2 million in workers’ compensation coverage, double what many contractors carry, and we provide a certificate of insurance on request.

How a Fence Cleaning Goes,
From Estimate to Walk-Around
From your first call to the final walk-around, here’s how a fence cleaning runs.
The Free Estimate
Call, text, or use our web form, and we answer live whenever we can. A fence is usually quoted right over the phone or online by measurement. You get an itemized written estimate that spells out what’s included and what isn’t. If your property is rural, we bring up water access early so there are no surprises later.
Scheduling and the Heads-Up
Accept the estimate online and we add your fence to the calendar. You’ll hear from us three times: when you book, the day before, and two hours before we arrive. If rain moves into the forecast, we call you to reschedule rather than work a wet fence.
Arrival and the Start-of-Job Walk-Around
We park on the street and cone off the area. If you’re home, we walk the fence line with you first and note any spot that’s bothering you. We photograph the property for our work order, which is there to protect you if any question ever comes up.
The Cleaning, Matched to Your Fence
Vinyl is a two-technician job. One applies the soft wash solution with our dedicated soft wash system to loosen everything on the surface. The second follows with a light rinse to carry it away. Wood gets a pressure wash with a cleaning solution that clears the algae. The water comes from our self-contained truck tanks when there’s no spigot in reach. Vinyl is actually the faster and easier of the two.
Final Walk-Around and Payment
If you’re home, we walk the fence with you again before we leave. Payment is due on completion: check or cash to the technician, or a card through the invoice we text or email you. A yard sign goes in, and we’re on our way.
What Fence
Cleaning Costs
Fence cleaning is priced by linear footage, whether the fence is vinyl or wood, and how far it sits from a water source. You get the final number on an itemized written estimate.
| Pricing | Details |
|---|---|
| $250 | Starting at $250. This is the floor for a residential fence, and the price climbs with the length of the run, the material, and the distance from water. |
| Good to Know | Water delivery available for an added charge. When there’s no usable spigot, the property is on a well or spring, or the fence runs too far from water, we haul our own. The charge depends on job size and the volume hauled, and it’s shown on your estimate. |
Booking fence cleaning alongside other services earns multi-service pricing, so ask about it when you get your estimate.
Our Walk-Around Promise
on Every Fence Cleaning
Before we leave, we walk the property with you to make sure everything meets your standards. If we missed something, we come back and make it right at no charge. If you’re not home for that final walk-around, just call us, and we’ll come back out for anything we missed.

Fence Cleaning FAQs
Do you need to use my water to clean my fence?
We use your outdoor water spigot by default. If your property is on a well or spring, or the work is too far from a water source, we can bring our own water for an added charge, and we’ll let you know when we quote the job. Rural properties far from a spigot are a routine part of what we clean.
How long does it take to clean a fence?
Most fences take anywhere from one hour to eight hours. Large farm properties can run multiple days. The time depends on the length of the fence, whether it’s vinyl or wood, and how easy it is to reach.
Can you stain my wood fence after you clean it?
Yes, as a separate service called Deck & Fence Staining, which covers wood only. We clean the wood, scrape off any loose old paint or stain, lightly sand it, and apply one to two coats of commercial-grade stain or paint. A cleaning by itself isn’t the right prep for a finish, because sanding is what lets the new coat bond. The package takes at least two days.
