Deck Cleaning That Clears
Algae, Mildew, and Mold
Deck cleaning removes algae, mildew, and mold off your deck. That growth is the main reason decks across Washington County need cleaning in the first place. We treat the two kinds of deck differently. Wood decks get a pressure wash with cleaning solution. Composite decks get a soft wash and hand scrub with no high pressure. We can get yours looking right again. Call (724) 344-2534 and we’ll handle the growth for you.
Wood and Composite
Deck Types We Clean
Wood and composite decks need different methods, and we treat them that way on every job.
Wood Decks
A wood deck gets a higher-pressure wash with cleaning solution worked into it. That takes care of the algae, mildew, and mold that build up on the boards, and the pressure is set to what the wood can handle.
Composite / Synthetic Decks (Trex, TimberTech)
Composite and synthetic decks, Trex and TimberTech included, never see high pressure from us. We soft wash them and hand scrub with brushes, brooms, and a light detergent. With all the newer composite decks going in around the area, it’s a method worth getting right.
Why Homeowners Choose Us
for Deck Cleaning
Here’s what sets our deck cleaning apart.
Deck Builders Trust Us With Their New Decks
Local deck builders call us to clean their decks right after they finish building them. They bring us back every year or two to keep those decks maintained. That kind of repeat work from the people who build decks for a living says a lot about how we handle composite.
We Won't Blast a Brand-New Composite Deck
A new composite deck is a serious investment, and we treat it like one. Most companies run wood and composite through the same high-pressure wash. We don’t. Composite never sees high pressure from us, so your deck comes out clean without the surface getting chewed up.
Equipment We Build and Maintain in Our Own Shop
Our owner is an electrical engineer by trade who spent more than a decade leading large-scale industrial projects in power plants, steel mills, and mines. He built pressure washing equipment before he ever started washing. Every rig we bring to your Washington County property was built and is maintained in our own shop, so we show up with dependable, well-kept equipment and the know-how to use it right. Both the pressure washer we run on wood and the soft wash system we use on composite come out of that shop. The crew can dial in the gentle setup a composite deck needs.

How a Deck Cleaning Goes,
From Estimate to Walk-Around
The Free, Itemized Estimate
Reach us by call, text, or the web form. We’ll ask about your deck, its size and the material it’s built from, and quote the job by phone or online. The estimate is free, itemized, and in writing, so you can see what’s included and what isn’t before you decide.
Scheduling and Three Heads-Ups
Once you accept the estimate, your job goes on the schedule. You’ll hear from us three times before we show up: when you book, the day before, and a text about two hours out. If rain moves into the forecast, we’ll call to move you to a better day.
Arrival and the Start-of-Job Walk-Around
Our branded truck parks on the street, never blocking your driveway, and we cone off the work area. Your technician knocks, introduces himself, and if you’re home, walks the deck with you. We confirm what you want out of the cleaning, including anything you’re hoping paint will do. We check that the steps and railings are safe for the crew. We also photograph the deck for the work order, a record that protects you if any question ever comes up.
Washing Wood or Hand Scrubbing Composite
On a wood deck, we run the pressure washer with algaecide and cleaning solution to clear the algae, mildew, and mold. On composite, we switch to the soft wash system and work the surface by hand with a light detergent. The method matches the material every time.
Final Walk-Around and Payment
When the deck is done, we walk it with you if you’re home, and if we missed anything, we take care of it on the spot. Payment is due on completion: check or cash to the technician, or a card through the invoice we email or text you.

Our Walk-Around Promise
on Every Deck Cleaning

Questions About
Deck Cleaning
Will you leave lines on my composite deck like the last company did?
No. Composite decks are soft washed and scrubbed by hand, never pressure washed. High pressure can leave lines or damage the surface.
Will a deck cleaning remove peeling paint or old stain?
A deck cleaning takes off algae, mildew, and mold. It doesn’t strip peeling paint or old stain. Water alone won’t do that, and it isn’t included in a standard deck cleaning. If paint is part of what’s bothering you, tell us up front so we can set the right expectations. When you want a fresh finish on a wood deck, our Deck & Fence Staining service is built for that.
Should I pressure wash my deck before I stain or paint it?
No. Pressure washing on its own is the wrong prep for a new finish, because it drives water down into the wood. The right prep is scraping and sanding. That’s exactly how our Deck & Fence Staining service works: we clean the wood, scrape it, lightly sand it, and then stain.
How long does a deck cleaning take?
Most decks are done in a few hours or less, with an hour as our minimum on any job. A large wraparound deck can run up to a full day or a day and a half. It comes down to how big the deck is and which material it’s made from.
Will you clean a deck with rotted boards or loose railings?
If a deck has structural problems, a lot of rotted boards, or missing steps or loose railings that aren’t safe for our crew, we’ll recommend repairs before we clean it. We’re a cleaning company, not a repair crew, so those fixes need to happen first.
Do I need to be home for my deck cleaning?
No. We just need access to the deck, and a gated yard can be arranged ahead of time. If you are home, we’ll walk the deck with you at the start and finish.
Do you need to use my water to clean my deck?
We use your outdoor water spigot by default. If your property is on a well or spring, or the work is too far from a water source, we can bring our own water for an added charge, and we’ll let you know when we quote the job.
